High School
High school volleyball tournament district finals are set. In semifinal action last night:
- Division Four, District 97 – Ewen-Trout Creek ousted Wakefield-Marenisco 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-14). Ontonagon bested Bessemer 3-0 (25-4, 25-20, 25-16). The title will be decided tonight at 6:00 at Ewen.
- Division Four, District 98 – Hancock ended Dollar Bay-Tamarack City’s season 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-21). For the Blue Bolts, Sylvie Kentala had 11 assists and 14 digs. Hannah Keranen added 2 assists with 5 kills and 2 blocks. Ava Nye had 10 service points and 2 aces. Ellie Keranen, Laila Bell, and Kiya Kemppainen each added 11 digs. Baraga dispatched Lake Linden-Hubbell 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-16, 25-15). The district title game will be played tonight at 6:00 at Baraga, with coverage on the Voice of the Bulldogs, Lite 96.3 Houghton’s Breeze.
- Division Four, District 99 – Forest Park eliminated North Central 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-12). North Dickinson swept Stepehson 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-18). The Trojans and Nordics will play for the title tonight in Felch.
- Division Three, District 65 – Calumet dispatched Gwinn 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-8). Jeffers swept West Iron County 3-0. The title will be decided tomorrow at 6:00 at Jeffers, with coverage at 5:40 on KBear 102.3.
- Division Two, District 33 – Houghton dispatched Escanaba 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-16). Kingsford got past Negaunee 3-1 (25-23, 25-27, 25-23, 25-18). The crown will be awarded tonight at 6:00 at Kingsford, with pregame at 5:40 on the Voice of the Gremlins, 97.7 The Wolf.

The Red Wings host the Golden Knights tonight.
NBA
The Pistons dropped a 112-106 decision to the 76ers last night. Duncan Robinson led Detroit with 27 points. Cade Cunningham added 26, with 11 assists.
The Pistons entertain the Lakers Sunday.
The Bucks’ struggles continued with a 109-102 loss to the Celtics last evening.
Milwaukee will host the Raptors tomorrow night.
