Jeff was born on May 4, 1956 in Jefferson, Wisconsin to parents Perce Ihde and Mary E. Ihde (Nee: Irion). He grew up in Jefferson, attending the local schools and graduating from Jefferson High School. He met the love of his life Kathy, and they were married on October 12, 1984.
Jeff worked as an industrial electrician at Ball Corporation in Wisconsin until his retirement. Post retirement, Jeff took a position with Grant Township Water & Sewer Department. Jeff’s forte was repairing, remanufacturing pumps, troubleshooting all electrical issues, and keeping Copper Harbor utilities operating. Jeff could fix, repair, or MacGyver almost anything!
Jeff loved watching lake boats, making steam punk lamps, and making Kathy’s visions a reality. He really enjoyed working with the Fort Atkinson, WI and Calumet, MI band and theater kids. He and Kathy volunteered, mentored, and built sets for over 30 years.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Perce and Mary E. Ihde.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Ihde, and Jim Ihde of Wisconsin.
A service for Jeff will be held on Monday November 2, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Calumet Theater in Calumet, Michigan. There will be a time of visitation prior to the service starting at 12:00pm at the Calumet Theater.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude in Jeff’s honor and asks that any memorial contributions be donated to the Calumet Theater, Fort Atkinson High School Band, or the Calumet High School Band.
