On the high school volleyball schedule tonight…

College Soccer
The Michigan Tech women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Ferris State yesterday afternoon.
Addison Frantti’s hat trick lifted the Northern Michigan women’s soccer team to a 4-1 win at Saginaw Valley State.
The Northern men’s squad blanked Saint Cloud State 4-0 yesterday. Luca Rosen’s 11th goal of the season set a new Wildcats’ record.
MLB
The Tigers ended their season with a 4-2 loss to the Pirates yesterday. River Ryan struggled into the second inning, was charged with two runs and took the loss. Beau Brieske gave up the other two runs. Jack Flaherty returned from the injured list to toss two innings of scoreless relief. Kevin McGonigle homered.
The Tigers finish their season with a record of 76-86, in fourth place in the American League Central Division. The Guardians won the division title, a game ahead of the White Sox, who also make the playoffs as a wild card team.
The Brewers continued their playoff tune-up with 6-4 victory over the Cardinals yesterday. Jacob Misiorowski pitched shutout ball into the sixth inning, struck out five, and earned his 16th win of the season. Jackson Chourio had three hits, and Gary Sánchez homered.
Milwaukee earned a bye for the opening round of the playoffs, and will host its first Divisional Series game on Saturday.
The Wildcard series begin tomorrow night.
NFL
The Lions blew a 14-point lead, then pulled out a 31-24 victory over the Jets yesterday. Jahmyr Gibbs’ third touchdown of the day with 2:25 remaining sealed the win, and Detroit recovered a fumble to end New York’s final drive. Jared Goff threw two touchdown passes – one of them was the game-winner to Gibbs.
In last night’s contest, the Broncos overcame a 16-0 halftime deficit, and upended the Rams 30-26.
In tonight’s game, the Bears entertain the Eagles.
