With hunting season beginning, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources would like to remind hunters about the grouse and woodcock dashboard available online. The dashboard includes a survey that prompts grouse and woodcock hunters about their experiences and the publicly available data produced allows others to determine where the best spots for game are in their local area as well as compare their hunting trips.
Replacing a long-running paper survey last year, the online survey saw more than 1,100 submissions in its first year of operation. Participation in the program is entirely voluntary and was designed to be user-friendly. To submit a response to the survey, simply click the “submit a report” button on the Grouse and Woodcock Dashboard available on the MDNR website, linked here. As always, the Department of Natural Resources encourages all hunters to practice responsible hunting behavior.
