Steven “Stosh” Gordon Peterson of Copper City, Michigan passed away on September 8, 2026 at home.
Stosh Peterson was born on August 1, 1963 in Laurium, Michigan to parents Gordon James and Margaret June Peterson. Stosh graduated from Calumet High School in Calumet.
He was with the love of his life Sherry Ann Garrow since 1991, and they were married in July 2005.
Stosh worked as a mechanic and had many talents. He loved fishing, tinkering, and working on anything with a motor, being with family and friends, and enjoying time with his grandkids.
Stosh is preceded in death by his parents Gordon and June Peterson, and his brother Nick Peterson.
He is survived by his wife Sherry (Ellie Mae), Jake, Serena (Trenton), Bill, Steven (Laila), Ace, Annistyn, Ashor, Noah, and Sakura; sister Marie and Larry Butala; his best friend and father-in- law George Bernard Garrow; as well as numerous other family members.
A service will be held for Stosh Peterson at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet, Michigan at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. A two hour visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Erickson-Crowley-Peterson is assisting the family with arrangements.
