Kristen Hill, age 50, of L’Anse, MI passed away on August 10, 2026.
She was born in White Pine, MI on June 23, 1976. The daughter of Jean Hill and Dave Harris, she was raised in the loving home of Dr. Karl and Joan Hill.
Kristen was a free spirit with a love for animals, grew up showing horses, and created an animal sanctuary to care for over 100 cows, pigs, goats, chickens, horses, and more. Her compassion extended to the poor and homeless, and she was the kind of person who would give her last dollar to care for someone else.
She is survived by her daughter, Brialle Ringer; mother, Jean Hill; father, Dave Harris; aunts Gloria Hill (Gary Maki), Virginia Gruici, Mary Stafford, and Vita (Roy) Britz; uncles Karl (Mary) Hill and Tom (Maria) Hill; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
We pray she is free from any burdens she experienced on earth and is joyfully reunited with her best friend and grandma, Joan Hill, who passed away in March.
Rather than a formal funeral, the family gathered for an intimate celebration of life at the beach with white clothing, guided meditation, rose quartz crystals, and wildflowers to honor Kristen in a way that felt true to her. May we all remember her when we dance wildly, laugh loudly, and cherish each day like children at play.
