Paul Glenn Massie, 59, a resident of Ontonagon, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, August 16, 2026, following a lengthy illness.
Paul was born on January 6, 1967, in Hancock, to the late James and Rita (O’Brien) Massie. He attended local schools. He pursued his enjoyment of working on many boats, cars, and small engines. Paul had a great love for going fishing. He was employed at various places in the Copper Country and Green Bay, including his time working at the Lac Vieux Resort & Casino (Northern Waters). His greatest passion was spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Karl.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Britton
His grandchildren: Kayla, Lacy, Wallace, and Rachel
His great-grandson: Thomas
His siblings: Dorene Bonds, Roger (Darlene), Charlene (John Sr.) Sintkowski, Bobby (Shana), Kevin (Tracy), and Jason (Carrie).
His nieces and nephews: James, Jessica, Brooke, Johnny, Allyson, John Jr., Dylan, Emory, and Vera.
His special friend, Sheri Westman
His former wife and friend, Tammy Mickalich
Numerous other cousins and friends.
A celebration of Paul’s life will take place at 4 pm, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home – Mt. View Chapel in South Range. Visitation will be held from 3 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
