A 50-year-old L’Anse woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a pedestrian-vehicle crash Monday night on US-41 in Baraga County.
Michigan State Police responded to the accident near the Baraga Lakeside Inn at 10:20 p.m. A L’Anse man traveling south on US-41 struck the woman who was on foot and entered the roadway. The driver was unable to avoid her.
The driver was medically evaluated and released. The incident remains under investigation.
