Sharon Marie Bonini, 77, of Lake Linden, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026.
She was born Dec. 8, 1948, in Laurium, the daughter of James and Margaret (Zadravetz) Whitford of Ahmeek. She attended local schools and graduated from Calumet High School in 1967.
Sharon married Brent Bonini on July 5, 1975. In 1979, they moved from Hancock to Lake Linden, where they raised their children. Together, they owned and operated the Talk of the Town beauty salon and later Quincy Footwear in Hancock. Above all, Sharon was known as a loving, attentive mother and homemaker.
In her younger years, Sharon enjoyed spending time at the beach in Eagle River with family and friends. Later in life, she cherished her role as a loving and devoted grandmother.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret (Zadravetz) Whitford; her sisters, Mary Metish, Bonnie Smith and Geri Hall; and her brother, Jimmy Whitford.
She is survived by her husband, Brent, of Lake Linden; four sons, Ryan (Lindsay) Bonini of Hancock, Cory Bonini of Hancock, Kyle (Jessica) Bonini of Leesburg, Va., and Cole (Sarah) Bonini of Manassas, Va.; four grandchildren, Austin, Reed, Madelyn and Lennon; a special nephew, Tracy Hall; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held.
Pearce Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Ahmeek Village Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.
