Dillon Dingler doubled home Hao-Yu Lee in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Tigers a 4-3 victory over the Royals last evening. James Outman’s three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh had given Detroit a one-run lead, but K.C. tied the game off Drew Anderson in the top of the eighth. Troy Melton pitched five innings of shutout ball, but left as the Royals scored two in the sixth.
The Tigers continue that home set against the Royals tonight. Tarik Skubal will start against Beck Way. Coverage will begin at 6:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers had yesterday off, and welcome the Rockies tonight. Shane Drohan will pitch against Tomoyuki Sugano.

Patrick Kane is leaving the Red Wings. After three seasons with Detroit, he’s signed a two-year contract with the Blackhawks, with whom he spent his first 16 seasons in the league.
