A conversation with your doctor can open doors to new ways to stay healthy.
Aspirus Health invites the community to Talk With a Doc during a free presentation on aging next week. SLP, Christine Halkola Harkness, who specializes in cognition, will lead “Aging UP: Staying Safe, Sharp and Strong” and discuss a variety of topics related to health and aging.
The presentation will cover typical aging versus early signs of dementia, how lifestyle and environmental factors impact cognitive health, strategies for supporting cognitive endurance, and the role of engagement on brain health.
Aging is a natural part of life, but there are many ways to stay proactive about cognitive health. The Talk With a Doc series creates opportunities for the community to connect with providers in an informal setting while learning about important health topics and services available in the region.
The presentation begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Aspirus Laurium Clinic. For more information, find details for the presentation here.
