The Great Lakes Research Center will host a presentation Thursday featuring Steve Ruberg from NOAA’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory.
Ruberg will explore recent advances in autonomous underwater vehicles for research and development, highlighting GLERL’s work with AUVs to support Great Lakes science, including studies on quagga mussel destruction.
The presentation begins at 1 p.m. in GLRC Room 202.
Earlier this summer, an expedition using a remotely operated vehicle discovered a Busch beer can at Lake Superior’s bottom while investigating the lake’s unique siscowet lake trout, Kiyi fish and deep water sculpin.
