A tall ship has returned to the Portage Canal, bringing the Inland Seas Education Association’s Michigan Fresh Fish Sail program back to the Great Lakes.
The vessel departed Chassell this morning, offering community members hands-on education in watershed science, fish identification, and seamanship.
The program culminates with a fish fry at 4 p.m. on Huron Street. Tickets are $20 per person, with proceeds supporting fisheries education statewide.
