Nancy J. Jarvi, 77, a resident of the Arbor Green Senior Living Community, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Omega House in Houghton.
She was born on August 13, 1948, in Laurium, MI, a daughter of the late Isaac and Martha (Toyra) Jarvi. Nancy was raised in Oneco Location and attended the Dollar Bay School before graduating from Lake Linden High School with the class of 1967.
Nancy worked for a short time before moving to Florida. While residing in Florida, Nancy attended college and received her associate’s degree in Medical Transcription. Ms. Jarvi then began a career working for a hospital in Florida in their records department before returning to the Copper Country. She then worked for Keweenaw Memorial Hospital/Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital until her retirement. She also worked for the Bluffs Senior Living Community in Houghton for a while.
Nancy was a member of the South Range Apostolic Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed the women’s bible study. She also enjoyed working on coloring art projects.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister and brother-in-law: Mary Ann & Carl Willmer, her niece Rachel Jarvi, and her godmother: Pauline Belopavolich.

Alan (Donna) Jarvi of Chassell
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
A Memorial Service for Nancy will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Range Apostolic Lutheran Church of South Range, with Pastor Ernest Bylkas III to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Calumet.
Friends may call on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 10am until time of services at the Range Apostolic Lutheran church.
