Andrew G. Verran, 45, a resident of Toivola, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Omega House in Houghton following a battle with cancer.
He was born on August 19, 1980, in Superior, WI, a son of the late Chester & Starr (Fitch) Verran. Andy was raised in Superior, WI, and attended the local schools. In 1997, he moved with his family to Misery Bay.
Andy received his GED and Welding certificate from Houghton High School and began a career working for CUDA Corporation and Selkie Manufacturing until his health would no longer allow him to weld. More recently, Andy had driven bus for the Adams Township School District and Copper Country ISD.
On November 2, 2001, he was united in marriage to the former D’Lene Caron. The couple had resided in South Range, Painesdale, Misery Bay and for the past 15 years made their home in Toivola.
Andy enjoyed biking, woodworking projects, metal detecting, taking photos, cooking and spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his cousin Becky Verran and his uncle Randy Fitch.
Surviving are: His wife: D’Lene Verran of Toivola; His daughters: Novelyn Verran of Toivola & MiKenna Verran of Toivola; His sister: Lisa (Russell) Harvey of Superior, WI; His brother: Thomas Verran of Superior, WI; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
