Earlier this year, MDOT announced the Federal Highway Administration approved the state accessing $51 million to expand electric vehicle charging stations in Michigan. The funds could support up to 60 new chargers throughout the state.
MDOT will continue to accept NEVI grant applications until August 7. The funds must be used by 2029.
On Thursday, MDOT will host a virtual presentation to share more information about the program and funding available for electric vehicle charging stations.
