One hundred women combine their efforts in the Copper Country to make the community a better place to live, work and play.
Recently, the Copper Country 100 Women Who Care chapter met for the group’s second time in 2026. This fiscal quarter, the organization chose to award $6,900 to Unite Mental Health’s HUG Fund.
The Unite HUG Fund aims to assist people in the community access the mental health services they need by providing up to $500 annually to help cover the cost of care.
“I don’t think you know just how exciting this is for us,” said Angela Price, Unite Mental Health co-founder. “Our HUG fund was nearly depleted, and some patients were close to contemplating if they needed to stop care.”
The HUG Fund was nominated by 100 Women Who Care’s Cynthia Hodges.
Copper Country 100 Women Who Care started in 2025 with the goal of bringing together women in the community and collectively supporting organizations that make impacts on families, individuals and communities throughout the region. The group meets once a quarter to vote on a nonprofit cause to support.
