The man accused in last week’s shooting in Marquette faces a litany of charges.
State police officials say 31-year-old Trevor Caponcello Restivo of Marquette was arraigned Friday in 96th District Court.
He’s accused of shooting at a man in the city last Tuesday, then fleeing from state troopers. The chase ended with Restivo crashing into a diesel pump at the Krist Oil station in Negaunee.
Restivo’s car caught fire, and he was hospitalized for burn treatment before being released to the Marquette County jail.
The charges include:
- One count of Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer Second Degree;
- Two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder;
- One count of Weapons-Firearms: Discharge in or at a Building Causing Serious Impairment;
- One count of Weapons-Firearms: Discharge in or at a Building Causing Injury;
- Four counts of Felony Firearm;
- One count of Interfering with Electronic Communications Causing Injury or Death.
The total bond for all combined charges was set at $1,350,000 cash/surety. Restivo is scheduled to appear in court on June 11, 2026, for a probable cause conference and on June 18, 2026, for a preliminary examination.
The man at whom Restivo allegedly shot was treated for non-gunshot injuries, and released.
