The South Range 4th of July Committee will host its fifth annual Hunters Ball on November 7 at the Range VFW hall. The dance supports the community’s Fourth of July celebration and fireworks display. Admission is $5 at the door. Slick Nickel will perform music from the 1970s and 1980s.
The event will feature dancing, a silent auction with 15 prizes including Walmart gift cards and restaurant certificates, and two 50/50 cash raffles.
Mike Renier, communications coordinator for the South Range 4th of July Committee, said the band’s energy will keep the evening lively.
“Yeah, they play a lot of good dance songs and they have a lot of energy and they’re a very energetic band and they always come up with some new songs usually every year,” Renier said.
Renier said the cost of the fireworks show has continued to rise each year. He said events like the Hunters Ball offer residents a simple way to support the July celebration.
The Hunter’s Ball begins at 7pm, and ends at 11pm on Saturday, November 7th.
