Marilyn Ann Fraki (Paulson) of Calumet, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Hubbell, Michigan.
Marilyn was born on March 23, 1940, in Calumet, Michigan, to Ed and Irene Paulson. After graduating from Calumet High School in 1957, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She later married James Fraki, her lifelong partner.
Throughout her life, Marilyn was dedicated to helping others through her work as a social worker. She spent most of her life in Rabbit Bay, a place she cherished deeply, and was known for her love of cooking gourmet meals and hosting memorable gatherings for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Irene Paulson; her beloved husband James Fraki; and her sister, Lynn Rodrigues.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Kevin Fraki; her granddaughters (children of the late Suzanne Pomroy), Hannah (Michael) Fraki and Amanda (Maxx) Fredrickson; her nieces, Airina (Stephan) Rodrigues Dyachkovskiy and Elena (Matt) Carlson; her brother-in-law, John Ridrigues; her great-niece, Sasha Rodrigues Dyachkovskiy and great-nephew, John Carlson.
A Celebration of Life honoring Marilyn will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Dreamland restaurant in Bootjack, Michigan. Dreamland was, and continues to be, a very special place for Marilyn and her family.
