The CyberHusky Computing Training program engages local middle and high school students through education, fun and embracing challenges. This year’s theme, “Embracing the AI and Cyber Challenges,” introduced students to networking fundamentals, Windows and Linux system basics, AI tools and AI-assisted app development.
Students in the program participated in the national cybersecurity competition CyberPatriot, the U.S. Congress’ Congressional App Challenge, the Presidential AI Challenge and earned a preview of the National Cyber League’s major cybersecurity competition for college students.
CyberHusky students achieved outstanding results, winning the 2026 President’s AI Challenge Michigan State Championship and the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for Michigan’s First Congressional District. The group earned the state’s top ranking in the Fall 2025 CyberPatriot Competition and achieved national rankings in the spring 2026 National Cyber League competition.
The CyberHusky group will introduce new students to cybersecurity and emerging technology at the first session on September 19 in Rehki Hall.
