Copper Country 100 Women Who Care will host its third meeting of 2026 at The Lodge Luxury Suites in Hancock.
Four times a year, a group of women in the community gathers to learn about charitable causes in the Keweenaw Peninsula and support a nonprofit organization with a large donation. Members donate $100 at each quarterly meeting, which the group collects to donate to organizations such as the Pewabic Street Community Garden, Unite Mental Health and Wellness and Omega House.
Since the organization’s establishment last year, the group has raised more than $25,000.
New or prospective members do not need to donate at their first meeting. Each meeting features presentations from three nonprofits and a group vote.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19, after doors open at 6 p.m. The final meeting of 2026 will take place in November.
