Ty Madden has been called up from Toledo to fill in.
The Brewers fell to the Cardinals 6-3 last evening. Chad Patrick couldn’t get through the fourth inning, was charged with four runs, and took the loss. Brice Turang had three hits, including a home run.
The Brewers continue that series at Saint Louis tonight. Brandon Sproat will pitch against Andre Pallante.
Milwaukee brought Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn back from the injured list yesterday. Greg Jones was designated for assignment, and Blake Perkins was sent down to Nashville.
