Calumet: Derek Rene Dronet was born on November 30, 1961 and died on April 2, 2026.
Brave, faithful, and protective of those he loved, he served over 20 years in the United States Coast Guard as a marine electrician, Navy certified diver, search and rescue drug busting, and on an ice breaker. He retired from U.S. Coast Guard station Portage.
He is survived by his wife, four sons, 10 grandchildren, his father, and siblings.
