Isabella Rose Maki born on August 14, 2025 in Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026 watching a beautiful sunset surrounded by those who loved her most.
From the moment she came into this world, Isabella radiated joy and strength. A beautiful, happy baby, she faced her medical challenges with courage and far beyond her years. Even on her hardest days, her bright eyes and sweet smiles filled every heart around her.
Isabella was known for her sunshine-like spirit, her curly red hair, her expressive eyes that spoke volumes, and her famous little side-eye that made everyone laugh. She loved to snuggle close and listen to her favorite lullabies- especially Taylor Swift songs- which always brought her comfort and calm. She adored the sound of her daddy’s voice when he told her she was his pretty girl, and she’d beam each time her mommy covered her in kisses. Isabella also loved the color pink and always adoring the cutest pink bows and blankets. Despite her brief time with us, Isabella’s presence left an everlasting mark. She taught us the purest kind of love- patient, brave, and unconditional. Her light, though small in years, will shine forever in our hearts. We will love her endlessly.
She is survived by her parents, Elizabeth Minnick and Paul Maki; siblings, Jacob Maki, Allison, Maki, and Chloe Maki; grandparents, Paul Maki Sr., Dawn Maki, Shelby Minnick, and Pete Jaukkuri; and all those who adored her beyond measure.
A visitation will be held for Isabella on Monday, April 13, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM at Jacobson Funeral Home, 200 L’Anse Ave, L’Anse, Michigan, 49946. After the service, please join the family for a potluck luncheon at the Baraga American Legion Post 444, 505 S. Superior Ave, Baraga, Michigan 49908.
