Gerald “Jerry” W. Davison, 81, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He was born on June 03,1944 in Detroit, MI. to Neil and Helen Davison. After graduating from Calumet High School in Calumet MI in 1962, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University in 1966. In 1967, while attending graduate school at the University of Michigan, he remet the love of his life, Judy Longpre, whom he had dated while in high school. They were married in August 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Calumet, MI. Their marriage was one of love and commitment.
Jerry was employed for many years in Information Technology, mostly as a Project Manager. He and Judy spent 35 years raising their family in the Chicago area. In 2004 they retired to Arkansas; a place he became very fond of.
Jerry was an avid reader, loved traveling the world, fishing, and partridge hunting. He especially enjoyed his 18 years volunteering with Judy at The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, AR. He also was a Washington County Elections Supervisor with Judy for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Judy, whom he had known for 64 years; a daughter Melissa (Eric) Doherty; sons Sean Davison and Patrick (Jessi) Davison; 6 grandchildren Kirra, Drake, Xander, Oriana, Gavin, Vivienne; and a great-grandson Beau.
Also surviving are a brother Daniel “Dan” Davison; a sister Jane (Doug) Strieter; a sister-in-law Lois “Mike” Davison; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Neil and Helen Davison, his older brother Neil “Tom” Davison, and a sister-in-law Marilee Davison.
A private family Memorial will be held in Arkansas at a later date. His Interment Service with family and friends will be held at Lake View Cemetery, section V, in Calumet, MI in late May followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Calumet, MI.
