- Carson L’Esperance scored with 5 seconds left in overtime to give Jeffers a 4-3 victory over Grandville. With the Jets down 3-2, Tage Rajala’s goal with 5 minutes remaining in the third period forced extra time. Brogan Turner and Blake Heltunen also scored for Jeffers. Kasen Helminen got the win in net, as the Jets outshot the Bulldogs 36-25.

College Hockey
The 19th-ranked Michigan Tech hockey team buried Northern Michigan 8-2 in Marquette last night. Noah Reinhart, Stiven Sardarian and Tayden Trembecky each scored twice. Isaac Gordon and Reid Andresen had one goal each, and Max Koskipirtti had three assists. Owen Bartoszkiewicz made 30 saves.
That home-and home series concludes tonight at 6:07 at the SDC.
College Basketball
Both Michigan Tech basketball teams will welcome Purdue Northwest today – the women at noon, and the men at 2:00.
Both Northern Michigan squads will entertain Wayne State today.
GLHL
The Portage Lake Pioneers shaded the Fond du Lac Bears 4-3 last night to remain unbeaten. The Pioneers visit the Sun Prairie Killer Bees tonight.
The Calumet Wolverines’ game against the M and M Shamrocks last night was canceled. The Wolverines call on the De Pere Deacons this evening.
NHL
The Red Wings visit the Jets tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons fell to the Rockets 111-104 last night. Jalen Duren led Detroit with 18 points. Cade Cunningham was held to 12 points.
The Pistons host the Kings tomorrow afternoon.
The Bucks nearly overcame a 23-point deficit, but dropped a 102-100 decision to the Nuggets last night. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 22 points and 13 rebounds, but limped off the court with a thigh injury in the final minute. He’ll be evaluated today.
The Bucks entertain the Mavericks tomorrow night.
NFL
The NFL Conference titles will be decided tomorrow…
- The Patriots visit the Broncos at 3:00 for the AFC game.
- The Seahawks host the Rams at 6:30 for the NFC game.
