College Basketball
The Michigan Tech basketball teams split their doubleheader against Wayne State last night.
- The women dropped a tight 86-83 decision. The Huskies led by nine at halftime, but were outscored 25-13 in the third quarter. Ella Mason scored 22.
- The sixth-ranked men’s team nearly blew a 20-point halftime lead, but held off Wayne State 75-74. Marcus Tomashek scored 35, including a free throw in the final seconds that sealed the win.
Both Tech Teams will welcome Purdue Northwest tomorrow – the women at noon, and the men at 2:00.
Both Northern Michigan teams swept Purdue Northwest last evening.
- The 16th-ranked women’s squad buried the Pride 94-54. Sydney Whitehouse and Jacy Weisbrod each scored 21.
- The 13th-ranked men’s team closed strong to take an 82-75 victory. Dylan Kuehl scored 28.
Both NMU squads will entertain Wayne State tomorrow.
College Hockey
Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan will play a home-and home series this weekend. Tonight’s game is at 7:07 in Marquette. Tomorrow’s begins at 6:07 at the SDC.

The unbeaten Portage Lake Pioneers visit the Fond du lac Bears tonight, and the Sun Prairie Killer Bees tomorrow.
The Calumet Wolverines visit the M and M Shamrocks tonight, and the De Pere Deacons tomorrow.
NHL
The Red Wings dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to the Wild last night. Lucas Raymond scored twice for Detroit, and James van Riemsdyk once. Cam Talbot made 35 saves.
The Wings visit the Jets tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons host the Rockets tonight, with coverage beginning at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Bucks welcome the Nuggets tonight.
NFL
The NFL Conference titles will be decided Sunday…
