Michigan Tech’s Rozsa Center is set to open a new art exhibit at the Rozsa Art Gallery at the end of the month, showcasing powerful messages about gender equality.
The exhibit, titled “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights,” features 25 posters from a larger collection of 125 international works curated by Elizabeth Resnick of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
The posters address gender inequality, discrimination, and gender-based violence, with contributions from artists around the world including Bolivia, France, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Iran, and Egypt.
Gallery curator Terri Frew said the exhibit highlights the ongoing fight for gender equality over the past 25 years.
A special opening reception will take place on January 30. The exhibit will remain on display through March 28.
