There’s plenty to celebrate during the holiday season. Between Christmas and New Year’s Day plenty of people will head out on the road. Throughout the community law enforcement, families and AAA want people to get home safe.
During the holiday season AAA will bring back its Tow to Go program. The service will run from 6 p.m. Dec. 24 to 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
Tow to Go provides a free confidential ride and tow for impaired drivers and their vehicles to a safe location within a 10-mile radius of the pickup. The program is open to both AAA members and non-members and promotes sober driving across the country.
AAA notes the program does not allow scheduling in advance and the service should be used as a last resort. The organization encourages those celebrating the holiday to make a plan and designate a sober driver for the evening or schedule a pickup with a taxi service.
