- The boys outscored the Patriots 129-17. Event winners included Alex Svanidze in the 200 freestyle (qualifying for the event in the UP Finals), Tate Evans in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke, Isaac Neva in diving, Gunnar Carlson in the 100 butterfly, Christian Raasio in the 100 freestyle, Anderson Limkemann in the 500 freestyle, and William Jiang in the 100 backstroke.
- The girls took a 136-40 victory. Event winners included Aya Keteri in the 200 freestyle, Shania Aepli in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle, Kayleigh Dart in the 50 freestyle, Meg Ruhonen in diving, Evelyn LaTendresse in the 100 freestyle, and Ahri Olson in the 100 breaststroke.
College Hockey
For the third time this season, Michigan Tech’s Owen Bartoszkiewicz has been named CCHA Goaltender of the Week. Bartoszkiewicz stopped 48-of-52 shots in the Huskies’ two wins at Ferris State.
College Soccer
The Michigan Tech women’s soccer team introduced six new players yesterday.
- Polly Ambro is a goalkeeper from Golden, Colorado.
- Brooke Armstrong is a defender from Lake Orion.
- Natalie Miller is a goalkeeper from Beavercreek, Ohio.
- Maya Pal is a defender from Lenexa, Kansas.
- Kivrin Platt is a center midfielder and forward from Kansas City, Missouri.
- Amelia “AK” Puryear is a winger from Missoula, Montana.

The Red Wings host the Islanders tonight, with coverage beginning at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
Detroit has placed struggling forward Jonatan Berggren on waivers. If no other team claims him by 2:00 this afternoon, he can be sent down to Grand Rapids.
Patrick Kane will miss a couple of games with an upper-body injury. John Leonard has been called up from the Griffins to fill in. Leonard is the AHL’s leading scorer this season.
NBA
The Pistons won their fourth straight last night, 112-105 over the Celtics. Cade Cunningham had 32 points and 10 assists.
The Pistons visit the Mavericks Thursday.
The Bucks suffered a 127-82 loss to the Nets. Gary Trent, Jr. scored 20 for Milwaukee.
The Bucks host the Raptors Thursday.
NFL
Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes, as the Steelers cruised past the Dolphins 28-15.

The injury that sent Packers receiver Christian Watson to the hospital during Sunday’s game turned out to be not too serious. Team officials said yesterday that an MRI showed no structural damage to his chest and shoulder, and that he might even be available for Saturday’s game against the Bears.
The news was, unfortunately, as expected for defensive end Micah Parsons, who will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
