Michigan Technological University’s mental health services have been added to the Princeton Review’s 2026 Mental Health Services Honor Roll.
On Tuesday, the university announced it was recently selected among a group of 30 colleges and universities in the nation named to the Princeton Review’s Mental Health Services Honor Roll. The exclusive list identifies institutions that demonstrate a commitment to their students’ mental health and well-being on campus.
The Princeton Review selects institutions based on data collected in the 2025 Campus Mental Health Survey that polled administrations from 540 colleges. Administrators were asked 57 questions related to the schools’ existing services, counseling, mental health, and wellness for students.
The Princeton Review describes Michigan Tech’s mental health services as driven to provide different avenues of support and praises the university’s commitment to student wellness through the four pillars of the Be Well Initiative.
In 2024, the university launched PAWS, or Peer Awareness for Well-being and Support, to educate all students on recognizing the signs of a mental health crisis, and what steps to take to help directly or encourage an individual to seek out a professional.
