KYP-Habitat for Humanity Build
The campaign has significantly affected organizations and their community impact, including Copper Country Habitat for Humanity, which has close to doubled the homes it can build annually.
“Over the last few years Giving Tuesday has been our largest fundraiser of the year. So it’s huge to us. Especially, now in the last ten years our home costs have over doubled. So every little bit of funding we can get to build another home is huge for us. And without Giving Tuesday we would definitely only be placing two families a year, and not the three,” a Habitat for Humanity representative said.
Habitat for Humanity receives support through annual donations, program funding and money from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Houghton. The 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign raised close to $30,000 to support home building and infrastructure projects with Habitat for Humanity.
