The Friends of the Michigan Tech Library will host its used book sale, offering entertainment options for readers while supporting student success.
The sale opens tonight for members and students on campus. Thursday, the general public can browse the shelves when the sale opens at 10 a.m. in the fifth floor ballroom of the Memorial Union Building.
“Our main goal is to support the students and their success and we have members of the student, undergraduate student government and also the graduate student government who are members of our board,” said Susan Martin, vice president of Friends of the Michigan Tech Library. “They give us suggestions about what undergrads and graduate students would like for us to do for them.”
Martin said the library requests support for leisure reading and infrastructure that cannot be immediately budgeted.
The Friends of the Michigan Tech Library will offer a special sale on remaining inventory after 3 p.m. Thursday. More information is available online.
Those that want to get an early look at what the Friends of the Michigan Tech Library has available during this year’s used book sale can join as a member. The book sale will offer memberships during tonight’s pop-up operation for $20. The used book sale opens tonight at 5 pm.
