With close to 200 inches of snowfall tallied in Keweenaw County, some residents in the Copper Country might start feeling cabin fever.
This Saturday, the Treehouse Family Resource Center invites families to get outside and enjoy the snow and cold for a change during Family Cabin Fever Reliever. The annual event at the Nara Nature Park Chalet will allow families opportunities to explore a variety of winter outdoor activities including snowshoeing and sledding.
The cabin fever reliever will also have a scavenger hunt for families to explore the Nara Nature Park and indoor activities inside the chalet. Kids can win at the book giveaway and should stick around for storytime by the fireplace.
The Keweenaw Co-op will provide a snack and Dunkin’ Donuts will have coffee available for parents. Treehouse Family Resources encourages families to dress for the weather and bring a helmet for sledding.
The Family Cabin Fever Reliever at the Nara Nature Park will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Find more details online.
