Shopko Optical opens in Houghton and starts Kids in Focus program with Houghton Lions Club

Shopko Optical opened its new location yesterday at 901 W Sharon Avenue, behind the UPHS Portage Fitness Center.

Shopko Optical CEO Russ Steinhorst said the company is thrilled to move into the Houghton community and provide quality eye care services.

The new optometry center will offer a program called Kids in Focus in partnership with the Houghton Lions Club to help local children receive eye exams and glasses at no charge.
