The Hancock Business Association and Copper Shores Community Health Foundation invite the Copper Country to build snowmen and celebrate Heikinpaiva.
After the bear spiral unravels and the wife carrying contest and kicksled races wrap up, Copper Shores and the HBA invite the community to build snowmen on Quincy Green on Sunday.
The fun and playful activity celebrates winter traditions and will occur alongside the snow sculpting contest that brings in professional sculptors. Participants in the snowman building contest can win prizes for their own version of Frosty.
Organizers encourage families and participants to bring their own decorations such as scarves, carrots, branches for arms, and coal.
The event is co-hosted with support from the City of Hancock and Visit Keweenaw.
