With awards season approaching, the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce will join the festive time of year by accepting nominations for the annual Keweenaw Sparkplug Awards.
The ceremony highlights individuals, organizations, and businesses in Houghton and Keweenaw counties that create positive community impacts. Categories include growth, customer service, and innovation, as well as individual honors like Hometown Hero of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, and Youth Contributor of the Year.
The Sparkplug Award Committee will accept nominations until February 11. The Chamber of Commerce, Keweenaw Young Professionals, MTEC SmartZone, Keweenaw Economic Development Alliance, and Copper Shores Community Health Foundation will carefully review each nomination.
In March, the committee will bring together Copper Country communities for the annual awards ceremony. Tickets for the celebratory evening are available online.
