College Basketball
Both Michigan Tech basketball teams will host Northern Michigan tonight.
- The Huskies women’s squad will face the 14th-ranked Wildcats at 5:30.
- The 12th-ranked Huskies men’s team will take on the 18th-ranked Wildcats at 7:30.
College Volleyball
The Michigan Tech volleyball team has introduced six new recruits.
- Reagan Lesley is an outside hitter who holds the career kills record for Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township.
- Laney Knaack was ranked fourth in the state as a middle blocker at Waunakee High School in Wisconsin.
- Ella Maxwell compiled more than 1,000 career assists as a setter from West Aurora High School in Illinois.
- Kayla Heinonen is a three-time All-Conference outside hitter from Delano, Minnesota.
- Natalie Leach is a three-year letter winner as a defensive specialist from Burlington, Wisconsin.
- Mia Hahn is an all-conference most valuable player as an outside hitter from Fairbanks, Alaska.

College Football
Northern Michigan University’s new head football coach will meet the community this afternoon. Matt Janus is coming off six seasons as the head coach at Division III University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he led the Eagles to a 45-14 overall record and five straight NCAA playoff appearances. His introductory press conference will begin this afternoon at 3:00. It will be streamed live here.
NHL
The Red Wings host the Canucks tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
With Cade Cunningham on the sideline with a bruised wrist, the Pistons stopped the Bulls 108-93 last night. Isaiah Stewart led Detroit with 31 points, and Daniss Jenkins had 15 assists.
The Pistons host the Clippers Saturday.
The Bucks fell to the Warriors 120-113 last evening. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bucks visit the Lakers tomorrow night.
