College Hockey
The Great Lakes Invitational Hockey Tournament begins tomorrow at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
- Michigan Tech will face Miami of Ohio at 3:30.
- Ferris State will play Michigan State at 7:00.
The consolation and championship games will be staged on Monday.
NFL
There are two NFL games today. The Texans visit the Chargers for a 4:30 contest. The Packers host the Ravens in an 8:00 game. Coverage of both games will begin at 4:00 on 99.3 The Lift.
Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love has not cleared concussion protocol after the hit he took in last week’s game, and will not play today. Malik Willis is expected to start for the Packers, although he’s been hampered by a shoulder injury suffered in last week’s game, and he missed some practice time this week because of an illness. Former Arizona Cardinal Clayton Tune is expected to be promoted from the practice squad to serve as Willis’ backup. The Ravens will likely also be without their starting quarterback. Lamar Jackson has a back injury, so Tyler Huntley is expected to start.
NHL
The Red Wings return to action tonight, when they visit the Hurricanes.
NBA
The Pistons dropped a 131-129 heartbreaker to the Jazz last night. Keyonte George hit the game-winner for Utah with two seconds remaining. Cade Cunningham had 29 points and 17 assists for Detroit, but missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would have won the contest.
The Pistons visit the Clippers tomorrow night.
The Bucks’ struggles continued with a 125-104 loss to the Grizzlies last evening. A.J. Green scored 20 for Milwaukee.
The Bucks have lost 14 of their last 19 games, and visit the Bulls tonight.
