College Basketball
The NMU men’s basketball team routed Marion University 109-52 yesterday. Jackson Dudek netted 29 points for the Wildcats, who outscored the Sabres 61-21 in the second half.
NHL
The Red Wings host the Islanders tomorrow, with coverage beginning at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons play at Boston tonight.
The Bucks visit the Nets today.
NFL
The Lions couldn’t hold a 10-point halftime lead, and fell to the Rams 41-34 yesterday. Jared Goff threw three touchdown passes, but the Detroit running attack was held to just 70 yards. The win clinched a playoff berth for Los Angeles, and dropped Detroit out of the top-seven.
The Packers also led at halftime, but lost to the Broncos 34-26. Jordan Love threw two interceptions along with one touchdown pass. Bo Nix threw four touchdown passes for Denver, who clinched a playoff berth. Green Bay lost more than just the game. Defensive end Micah Parsons left the game with a knee injury. Team officials believe he tore his ACL, which would end his season. Receiver Christian Watson was taken to a hospital after suffering a chest injury, but was released to travel home with the team.
In the Sunday night game, the Vikings outscored the Cowboys 34-26.
The Bears took over first place in the NFC north with a 31-3 rout of the Browns.
The Steelers host the Dolphins in the Monday night contest, with coverage beginning at 7:30 on 99.3 The Lift.
