Two more electric vehicle DC Fast Charging stations are being brought online in the Copper Country.
They’re located at the Keweenaw Co-op and Deli in downtown Hancock.
Co-op General Manager Curt Webb says they’re pleased to be able to help build out the network of EV charging stations across the Upper Peninsula.
Funding for the stations was underwritten by the Superior Watershed Partnership and the National Park Service Mobility Challenge, along with the City of Hancock.
Superior Watershed Partnership is also coordinating the installation of two charging stations in downtown Munising, one each at Lower Harbor Park and Presque Isle Park Marina in Marquette, and one in Grand Marais.
Carl Lindquist, Executive Director of the Superior Watershed Partnership, noted that “Each new charger is another step in building a low-emission transportation network for the Upper Peninsula.”
