Reaction was overwhelmingly positive to the debut of Hancock Lights the Night on Saturday. Visitors said they enjoyed the tour of the upper loop of the city campground, where dozens of local businesses and organizations have adopted campsites, and adorned them with hundreds of thousands of lights and related decorations.
Hancock Lights the Night will be open Thursdays through Saturdays from 5:30 – 8 pm until the end of the year.
The Saturday debut followed Hancock’s official welcome to the holiday season, the 54th annual Christmas Walk, which featured appearances by Santa and denizens from Dr. Seuss’ Whoville. Turnout was reported to be good, despite challenges from last week’s storm.
