Copper Country teams are well-represented on this year’s All-UP Volleyball teams.
Ava Fischer from Forest Park was named Ms. UP Volleyball, as well as Division Four Offensive Player of the Year. Calumet’s Chloe Coppo was honored as Large School Offensive Player of the Year. Mia Nordstrom from Jeffers was tabbed as Large School Defensive Player of the Year, and Ishpeming’s Mya Hemmer was named Division Four Defensive Player of the Year.
Kingsford was named Large School Team of the Year, and Forest Park, which reached the state semifinals, Division Four Team of the Year.
Rachel Sondgerath of Jeffers was selected as Large School Coach of the Year, and Hancock’s Brian Lampaa as Division Four Coach of the Year.
Along with Fischer, Coppo, Nordstrom and Hemmer, the All-UP Dream Team includes Lily Kwiatkowski from Rudyard, Noelle Grace from Wakefield-Marenisco, and Elsie Williams from Forest Park.
