A Keweenaw County nonprofit that helps residents pay for medical expenses, utility bills and travel costs has partnered with Copper Shores for Giving Tuesday 2025.
Keweenaw Random Acts of Community Kindness, started by six county residents in response to rising costs, assisted close to 100 people in 2024. The group helps copper country residents afford unexpected expenses.
“Since our only fundraiser is the car show, we were encouraged to reach out and become a partner with Copper Shores for Giving Tuesday, just so we can expand how many people that we help in our overall budget,” said Kim Kara, treasurer of Keweenaw Random Acts of Community Kindness.
KRACK treasurer Kim Kara said the End of the Road Car Show has been the group’s sole funding source for years. Joining Giving Tuesday will help share their mission with the community and increase their ability to assist residents with medical expenses, utility bills and travel costs for doctor appointments.
