High School
The Forest Park volleyball team faces Fowler in a Division Four state semifinal today at noon at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. The Trojans carry a record of 42-1 into the match, while the Eagles are 34-8-2. Coverage will begin around 11:45 on 99.1 WIKB.
Mendon and Ubly will meet in the other semifinal today. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday morning at 10:00.
College Volleyball
Michigan Tech’s volleyball season ended with a 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-19) loss to Wayne State in the quarterfinals of the GLIAC volleyball tournament last night. Rachel Zurek had 13 kills for the Huskies, and Madelyn Torola added 9. Madelynn Kreider had 33 assists and 8 digs. Tech concludes the season with a record of 12-16.
Northern Michigan’s volleyball season also came to a close in the quarterfinals, with a 3-1 (25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 22-25) loss to Parkside. McKenzie Gruner had 13 kills. The Wildcats won only one of their first 10 games this season, but came back to finish with a record of 15-14.
College Basketball
The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team entertains Minnesota Duluth tonight at 5:30.
The NMU women’s team hosts Saint Cloud State this evening.
NHL
The Red Wings welcome the Islanders tonight. Because of NFL football, coverage will begin at 6:45 on KBear 102.3.
NBA
The Pistons will visit the Bucks on Saturday.
The Bucks entertain the 76ers tonight.
NFL

The Swedetown Trails Club will hold its annual membership meeting tonight at the Chalet. A social period begins at 6:30, and the meeting will begin at 7. Discussion will include a review of last year’s projects, and an update on plans to renovate and expand the chalet. All are welcome.
