Omega House does what it can to ease the burden the end of life has on their residents and their families. Costs to maintain the hospice home have risen, says executive director mike lutz. However Omega House, with help from donations and the use of funds from Giving Tuesday, has allowed the home to keep costs low for the community.
but it also allows us to do things such as um provide more free care days for our clients who truly don’t have a lot of funds to pay for their stay. um The money from giving Tuesday generally bridges the gap between what it actually costs. a patient to stay at Omega House and what they can actually pay. It also allows us to provide free community outreach such as our grief support that we do every month. – Mike Lutz, Executive Director, Omega House
The omega house works with families to make sure their loved one has a place to stay at the end of their life. While the funds raised by Giving Tuesday help many programs, lutz adds, copper shores’ work behind the scenes has helped more organizations connect in ways leaders had not thought possible. In 2024 Giving Tuesday raised over 160,000 dollars to support the hospice care home.
