Copper Shores Community Health Foundation officially opens the 2025 giving Tuesdaydonation portal. In eight years, the GivingTuesday campaign has raised more than 4.7 million dollars to support the copper country’s many non-profit organizations. And in that time Copper Shores has added onto what individuals donate with a match portion. This year’s Giving Tuesday a match of 200,000 dollars will spread across the more than 50 groups joining this year’s celebration.
So if we did $500,000 in donations and one of the nonprofits brought in 10 % of that, so they brought in $50,000 of donations, they would get that $50,000 that they had donated to them. They would also get 10 % of the amplification fund and that’s $200,000. So they would get an additional $20,000 that’s amplified through that amplification fund. And the bottom line is what you’ll need to remember is that every single donation gets amplified. – Michael Babcock, Director of Donor Relations, Copper Shores Community Health Foundation
Throughout the years givingTuesday has received large donations to support non-profits. But a larger number of donations have come from individuals giving small amounts. As the community moves closer to December 2nd and the givingTuesday party with copper shores, follow along with my up news as we meet many of this year’s more than 50 non-profit organizations. Those interested in learning more about giving Tuesday and the non-profits participating in the campaign can find more details online.
