In high school volleyball tournament District semifinals last night…
In Division Four, District 98:
- Hancock swept Baraga 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-18).
- Lake Linden-Hubbell dispatched Dollar Bay-Tamarack City 3-1 (25-18, 18-25, 25-15, 25-22). Cleo Milkey had 15 kills for the Lakes. Payton Goldsworthy racked up 32 assists and 3 blocks. Ashlyn Steves had 22 digs. For the Blue Bolts, Kiera Isaacson had 20 kills, 10 digs, and 3 aces. Sophie Berryman had 6 kills and 2 blocks. Kassie Heinonen served for 20 points and had 6 digs. Sylvie Kentala had 25 assists and 11 digs.
- The Bulldogs will host the Lakes in the championship game tomorrow at 6:00.
In Division Four, District 97:
- Forest Park blanked Ewen-Trout Creek 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-14).
- Wakefield-Marenisco ousted Ontonagon 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18).
- The Trojans will host the Cardinals in the title game tonight, with the broadcast on 99.1 WIKB.
In Division Three, District 65:
- West Iron County stunned Calumet 3-2 (25-21, 13-25, 12-25, 25-20, 15-13). The Wykons took the opening set. Calumet dominated the next two. West Iron raced out to a 20-6 lead in set four, then held off a furious Copper Kings comeback. The Wykons never trailed in the final set.
- Jeffers eliminated Ironwood 3-1 (25-28, 25-14, 25-19, 25-17).
- The Wykons will host the Jets in the championship game tomorrow, with the broadcast on 99.1 WIKB.
In Division Two, District 33:
- Kingsford came back to defeat Houghton 3-2 (16-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-9, 15-8)
- Negaunee stopped Escanaba 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-11, 26-24).
- The championship game will be played tonight in Kingsford.

The Northern Michigan women’s soccer team plays at Purdue Northwest this afternoon.

The Red Wings host the Rangers tomorrow. Coverage begins at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons defeated the Jazz 114-103 last evening. Cade Cunningham scored 31 – 19 in the fourth quarter. Jalen Duren had 22 points and 22 rebounds.
Detroit has won four straight, and visits the Nets tomorrow for an NBA Cup game.
The Bucks host the Bulls for an NBA Cup game tomorrow.
NFL
In tonight’s NFL game, the Raiders visit the Broncos. Coverage will begin at 7:30 on 99.3 The Lift.
