Results are in. Across Houghton County and Ontonagon County close to 2,000 people participated in the consolidated election.
In Ontonagon County voters passed the Ewen Trout Creek School District operating millage for another 10 years. That millage will raise over 1,000,000 annually to support education in the district.
Houghton Portage Township Schools voters also passed the district’s non-homestead operating millage. That measure will collect taxes on businesses and non-primary residences within the school district.
